ASSE continues to focus on its youth with the signing, this Monday, of Djylian N'Guessan's first professional contract. At just 16 years old, this promising striker, trained at the prestigious Saint-Etienne training center, signed up until 2027 with the Greens, continuing a dazzling career that began at the age of 7.
Djylian, a native of the region, has progressed through all stages within the club since his first steps under the orders of Patrick Liogier, head of the football school. Outclassed in each category, he distinguished himself by constant progress and formidable efficiency in front of goal. With more than 20 goals during the 2023-2024 season in U17, U19, and Coupe Gambardella, he confirmed his status as an offensive nugget. This year he has already scored in National 3 despite limited playing time, proving he can compete with more experienced players.
His talent does not stop within the borders of Saint-Etienne. Djylian also shines in the tricolor jersey of the French U16 and U17 teams, where he displays impressive statistics: 14 goals in just 10 starts. Last March, he contributed to the coronation of the Blues during the prestigious Montaigu Tournament, confirming his potential on an international scale.
For Loïc Perrin, sports director of ASSE, this signature symbolizes the success of the club's project based on training: “Djylian embodies our vision. His sense of purpose and commitment are already attracting attention, but he has chosen to be part of our project.”
For his part, Djylian is savoring this moment while keeping his feet on the ground: “This contract is a stage, not an end goal. I am grateful to everyone who has helped me, and I want to continue to improve.”
With Djylian N'Guessan, AS Saint-Étienne seems to have found a new ambassador of its golden youth, ready to write beautiful pages in the history of the Greens.
