Friday, the Fenottes outrageously dominated the rival from Saint-Etienne during the derby. This 11-0 success is the largest recorded since 2018.
However, Saint-Etienne had had a rather interesting start to the season until then. Fifth in the First League, ASSE could hope to come to Décines with arguments, especially since Joe Montemurro had to deal with a group that had played midweek in Rome. But it didn't matter, and Lindsey led a Horan unstoppable, the Fenottes swept the Amazons 11 to 0 in the derby.
There wasn't really a match, but to get a better idea of the gap created by OL on this poster, you have to delve into the figures. For example, that of the biggest victory. Olympique Lyonnais have not won by such a large margin, in all competitions, since April 2018 in the Coupe de France, we learn from statistics journalist Daniel Marques. Arras also lost 11-0 at the time, but the opposing team was then playing in D2.
Biggest success in D1 for almost 9 years
In the championship, this is the biggest success since January 2016, almost nine years. Guingamp had suffered a humiliating 12 to 0. That day, Ada Hegerberg had scored a hat-trick, and Amel Majri a double. Wendie Renard also scored. Finally, in 29 confrontations against the Greens, this is the first time that the Rhodaniennes have passed the ten-goal mark. A sign that the reigning French champions left their mark on Friday at GOLTC.
