It has been in the pipeline for a few days, according to information from Le Parisien, it is now done: Jordan Gonzalez will become the new coach of FC Versailles.
After the generally successful interim of Jérémy Clément, we therefore know the name of Jean-Luc Vasseur's successor on the Versailles bench. This is Jordan Gonzalez, a 34-year-old technician who officiated this season with the U19s of Olympique Lyonnais.
An agreement between the two clubs was reached for OL to release their coach who was still under contract for three years. Jordan Gonzalez, who has already had experience in Ligue 2 with Lyon la Duchère then Bourg-Péronnas, should lead his first training session this Thursday, November 14. Note that not being a BEPF holder, his club will have to pay a fine of €7,500 per match.
FC Versailles will travel to Le Canet this Saturday, November 16 as part of a perilous 7th round of the Coupe de France. The championship will resume with a new trip to the DFCO on Friday, November 22.
