Paris Saint-Germain's priorities for the next winter transfer window have already been identified: a winger and a central defender are being sought. The capital club is therefore already starting to get active, a month and a half before the opening of the transfer market.
At the winger position for the moment, names from Ligue 1 are in PSG's sights. There is in particular the revelation of LOSC, Edon Zhegrova, or the nugget of AS Monaco, Maghnes Akliouche.
PSG targets Gonçalo Inacio
Regarding the defender position, the French team is looking towards Portugal and Sporting. Indeed, PSG would prepare an offer of around 30 million euros for the Ivorian, Ousmane Diomande. But that's not all.
According to information from Livefoot, the capital club is interested in another defender from the Portuguese club. This is Gonçalo Inacio. PSG are reportedly monitoring this 23-year-old Portuguese closely. The latter has established himself as a key figure in the Lisbon defense for several seasons.
A new deal with Sporting Portugal?
This left-handed central defender also has the advantage of being able to play as a left-back. “His left foot is an asset in the construction of the game and for restarts, which makes him valuable in a team that favors possession” says Livefoot.
These characteristics have surely caught the eye of Luis Enrique, who has implemented a possession game since his arrival at PSG, as in his other clubs. Still according to the same source, this file would not be difficult to conclude for the capital club.
€50 million and Gonçalo Inacio arrives in Paris?
Gonçalo Inacio indeed has the same agent as Nuno Mendes, who arrived in Paris in July 2022 from Sporting Portugal. In addition, PSG and Luis Campos have excellent relations with the Portuguese club and have completed two deals recently. There was the arrival of Manuel Ugarte in the summer of 2023, in addition to that of Nuno Mendes.
Under contract until June 2027 with Sporting, Gonçalo Inacio is today valued at 45 million euros by Transfermarkt. But, according to Livefoot, if PSG arrives with an offer approaching 50 million euros, “the file will quickly be folded”.
Passionate about sport and from Toulouse, I am of course a supporter of the great TFC, which has more titles than OM and OL combined over the last ten years.
