Aaron Wan-Bissaka looks back on his ordeal

Aaron Wan-Bissaka doesn't only have good memories of his time at Manchester United. The Anglo-Congolese right-back played 190 matches in five seasons with the Red Devils, but had some pretty difficult times off the field. The Londoner particularly had difficulty acclimatizing to the north of England, far from his hometown and his loved ones. Arriving in Manchester at just 21 years old, from Crystal Palace for 55 million euros, Wan-Bissaka says he had a hard time with this upheaval.

« It was difficult, very difficult. I went to Manchester on my own and it was the first time I had left home. I had no one there except my PlayStationrevealed the 26-year-old player in the columns of The Standard. It had become tiring. It was not a good idea for me to do this. But I had to try to settle down there, and that's what I did. » Back in London this summer, at West-Ham, Aaron Wan-Bissaka will finally be able to concentrate on his football. He has also become an indisputable holder with the Hammers at the start of the season.
