The start of the season was chaotic at Roma since two months after Daniele De Rossi, his successor Ivan Juric was fired in turn. Two names are in the running to replace the 49-year-old Croatian technician.
AS Roma's start to the season clearly does not live up to expectations. Twelfth in Serie A with only 13 points in 12 matches, the Louve club is stuck in a negative spiral. With only one victory in the last five matches, Roma is in crisis and a strong decision was taken with the dismissal of Ivan Juric, who himself succeeded Daniele De Rossi two months ago. The question now is who will be next to take charge of the team. Two names stand out, if we rely on information from Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport this Monday. The Italian press is unanimous in saying that Roberto Mancini, former coach of Italy and Saudi Arabia, is the number one candidate for the leaders of AS Roma.
Rudi Garcia or Roberto Mancini to straighten out AS Roma
However, a second name is mentioned with more and more insistence, it is that of Rudi Garcia. The former OL and OM coach was mentioned as a possible successor to Julien Stéphan in Rennes, but the Breton club ultimately bet on Jorge Sampaoli. The French technician is therefore still free and he could sign his big return to Roma, where he successfully officiated from 2013 to 2016. The Roman leaders will now have to decide between these two options. They have a few days to do this, the international break having officially started this Monday. But the idea is of course to appoint Juric's successor as quickly as possible in order to be able to create an electric shock quickly.
