Twenty-two amateur Football clubs in Brittany received a financial sanction and, sometimes, a withdrawal of points for not having informed the name of their coach to the League.
A sanction with serious consequences has just fallen for more than twenty amateur football clubs in Brittany this season. Indeed, the Brittany Football League has notified 22 clubs in the region, involved in the men's Regional 2 championship in the youth categories, women's or futsal, of a sanction caused, often, by an administrative problem. .
The clubs singled out by the Breton institution did not timely designate the data of their team educator on Footclubs, a platform which forms the link between the clubs and the League. They are, therefore, and by virtue of article 13.3 of the Regional Status of Educators, punishable. “Clubs, whose team is subject to a supervision obligation, which have not designated the educator or coach, incur, in addition to the fines provided for in the paragraph above, a sporting sanction from of the fifth official meeting in a situation of infringement,” specifies the text.
Eight clubs sanctioned with withdrawal of points
Thus, Stade Pleudihennais, engaged in Regional 2, and which played eight days of the championship without an officially informed coach, is fined €680 (€85 per match) and four points in the championship. Just like the JS Lanvollon (R3), which received a €350 fine and three points less. Particularly affected, the Cadets de Chelun-Martigné (R3) and US Saint-Jouan-des-Guérets (R3) will be reduced by five withdrawal points at the end of the season, and a fine of €450. The reserve team of CS Bgard (R3), FC Beaussais-Rance-Frémur (R3), ASC Romagné-les-Landes (R3), Sarzeau FC (R3) and Avenir Theix (R3) also been pinned for the men's regional championships, of which eight clubs suffered deductions of points, ranging from three to five.
Among the women, Ploërmel FC, in R1 (€425, 1 point), US Montagnarde, in R2 (€250, 1 pt) or even US Quessoy, in R2 (€250, 1 pt) are concerned by these sanctions. Note that in the youth categories, the professional clubs of En Avant Guingamp (U15, 16) and FC Lorient (U16) were also sanctioned.
“Nearly around fifty clubs are in violation,” warned Philippe Le Yondre, vice-president of the Brittany Football League and president of the sports commission, during the general assembly last Saturday October 26. It is very often an administrative failure. Just that. You have not declared the educator assigned to the team. That’s one point less for each game played on offense. Some clubs already have 5 points less. Pay attention, go to Footclubs, and declare your trainer for each team. » The League then gave the clubs concerned a period of one week to update themselves, in particular sending them a tutorial to make the change.
Clubs sanctioned at first instance have seven days, starting this Friday, November 8, 2024, to appeal the decision.
