Real Madrid have been hit with another blow after the injury to Aurélien Tchouameni, following two consecutive defeats against Barcelona and AC Milan.
Carlo Ancelotti's side are under the spotlight after a dip in form. Los Blancos were beaten 4-0 by Barcelona in the Clasico and then lost 3-1 to AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday, with their La Liga match against Valencia postponed in the meantime. The Italian is now under pressure to turn his team's fortunes around, but he has been dealt another blow as Tchouameni was ruled out with an ankle injury after being forced off the field at halftime of the defeat against Milan.
A club statement said: “ After the tests carried out today on our player Aurelien Tchouameni by the Real Madrid medical services, he was diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. Evolution in progress. »
Another hard blow
Tchouameni has been criticized this season but his absence will be a problem as the French star is a versatile player who has played in both defense and midfield for Madrid. He now joins Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal and Rodrygo on the club's injury list, leaving Ancelotti short of options in defense.
Real Madrid also have problems in attack where summer signing Kylian Mbappé is yet to show his best form at the Santiago Bernabeu and Jude Bellingham has not scored all season. Meanwhile, Fede Valverde's wife blasted Ancelotti in a hastily deleted social media post that read: “When will they understand once and for all that Fede is not a winger? »
Real Madrid have lost two consecutive home games while conceding at least three goals each time for the first time in all competitions since May 2009 under Juande Ramos.
