On September 7, for the third day of the N3 championship, Sud FC welcomed the Montpellier reserve to Saint Lucia.
At the end of the 90 minutes, the team David Caredo lost with a score of 3 goals to 2. Once the final whistle was blown, a verbal altercation took place between the management of the Saint Lucia team and the refereeing trio led by Mr. Goncalves.
A case which came before the FFR Disciplinary Commission and the least we can say is that the latter had heavy hand for the southern staff. In fact, coach David Careddu, despite a more lenient report from the delegate, received 10 months suspensionwhile his deputy Jérôme Berardi was inflicted 12 months suspension.
The southern technicians will therefore be deprived of any activity which will not help the club's affairs at the start of the season, last in Group J with only one victory for five defeats.
It remains to be seen what solution will be adopted by the leaders to lead the team during meetings.
Case to be continued, with a response which must come quickly and in any case before this weekend's match against Agde.
Note that the assistant referee of this match, Mr. Benjamin Ferreira, was suspended for six months for inappropriate gestures towards the public.
