This morning, French Football news was marked by the search at the headquarters of the Professional Football League (LFP), under the direction of the National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF), but also at the home of Vincent Labrune. An intervention which followed an investigation opened after a complaint filed by the anti-corruption association “AC!! », which questioned the conditions of the agreement concluded between the LFP and the CVC investment fund, which acquired 13% of the capital of the League against an investment of 1.5 billion euros.
The LFP wants to cooperate with justice!
The League's reaction was expected. It fell at the end of the afternoon through an official press release: “As it has indicated on several occasions, the Professional Football League (LFP) is cooperating with the justice system to provide all the elements necessary for the ongoing investigation, in complete transparency. The investigative acts which are taking place with the greatest serenity will confirm that the action carried out by the League has always been guided by a deep commitment to French football, in full compliance with the rules in force.” we can read.
