His mark is visible, particularly through his coaching. like the entry of Sissoko who scores the second goal This victory really bears its stamp, and it is interesting.
That said, he cannot perform miracles; he works with the players he has and has tried a lot of things. His real mistake, however, was Abdelhamid, and that's what's costing him right now. This is the main downside, because he brought in Abdelhamid to bring experience and strengthen the team with a Ligue 1 player. So far, this is proving to be a dismal failure. But despite this, he came through this weekend, even if he is still on a thread. We feel that for the winter transfer window, he will probably not have big resources. He will probably have to adapt with the resources available. Is this enough, in the long term, to build a solid team and club? It still seems quite difficult to me.”
ASSE still fragile?
Martin Mosnier (Eurosport) : “His coaching is decisive, we cannot say the opposite. A player comes in, scores, and the match is sealed. That said, it's also because in this team, few players really stand out. If we remove Davitashvili, all the others seem at a fairly close level. Sissoko and Stassin, since the start of the season… Sissoko has certainly scored, but it's not Ronaldo. In the middle, it's pretty much the same thing, except maybe Ekwah. This is a team that sorely lacks backbone. I think he is still looking for indisputable frames. One move is one player, another move is another; apart from Davitashvili and, to a lesser extent, Ekwah, even the central hinge remains very fragile. Pétrot is there almost by default, which clearly shows the complexity of the situation. In my opinion, the problem with ASSE at the start of the season is precisely this lack of players who are really emerging.
Regarding my tops and flops, I would put Ekwah at the top: he stabilizes the game, is the first defender and the first raiser. I really liked his role at this level, and we feel that he has real potential.”
