While the complaint filed against him for moral and sexual harassment was dismissed a few days ago, Noël Le Graët wasted no time in resurfacing publicly. In an interview with L'Equipe, the former boss of 3F returned to his ouster and did not fail to take down Amélie Oudéa-Castéra: “It all started in Qatar where things weren't great with Madam Minister, I don't know if she deserves to be called that. With Florence Hardouin (then general director), they met, I was not always very friendly with Oudéa-Castéra, who did not behave like a minister, she was too comfortable. I told him bluntly (…) His administration carried out an incriminating investigation, with the hearing of around forty people (…) Finally, fortunately there was article 40 (of the code of criminal procedure), because with the minister's administrative investigation, I would never have been cleared. This was all very painful. She played and abused it in a period when speech could be complicated for men.”
One thing is certain, the 82-year-old man defended himself again: “I think I have always behaved well. At the Federation, I was rather popular with the staff. I'm used to working with women, both at the FFF and in my company, we can joke but I've never gone further. We're in a period where we have to be careful about everything we say, but I don't feel like I've slipped up. In any case, I have never sent any SMS or messages of a sexual nature. Justice has passed and cleared my honor.” he explained before returning to his comments about Zinédine Zidane : “I responded after several calls and when I had just extended Didier Deschamps who was coming out of a World Cup final after winning the 2018 one. I have nothing against Zidane, obviously, but I don't see why I would have replaced Didier. The minister has no business dealing with this sort of thing.“
Le Graët gets Diallo!
Asked about Philippe Diallo, “NLG” did not fail to be harsh: “I don't know, I don't have an opinion. He should play the Lotto. (Smile.) He is fired from the UCPF union, ex-Foot Unis, I have a free place, I tell myself he knows football and I appoint him treasurer, then with the departure of Brigitte Henriques from the CNOSF, I promote him vice-president. I would have been better off naming another woman. I don't know if Florence Hardouin warned him of what she was going to do against me, I have my doubts” he said before declaring his support for Pierre Samsonoff: “He is a good candidate, better than Diallo. I will support him. He will make a good list, he knows amateur football well. He is serious, intelligent and cultured, he is not a eccentric.”
Finally, he concluded by being teasing about his successor and his status as favorite in the next FFF election: “Oh well, I don't know if Aulas or Diallo is number 1. I don't see Aulas n°2 from Diallo. Maybe they will change order…“
