Revealed on the side of AS Saint-Etienne, Wesley Fofana has climbed the ranks to become a starter in Chelsea's central defense. His performances also opened the doors to the French team and Clairefontaine. But unfortunately, the latter has to deal with numerous injuries which greatly slow down his progress. Moreover, the former Leicester spoke at length to Téléfoot and made an incredible revelation about a potential transfer this summer to Olympique de Marseille.
“We had a call from Mr. Benatia”
A native of Marseille, Wesley Fofana could have returned to the promised land this summer. “We got a call from Mr. Benatia. It’s sure that it went “boom, boom” in my heart. Because I was coming back from injury and I didn’t know if I was going to be part of the club’s project. But I had a discussion with the coach and he told me that he was counting on me this season. So I said that I was very happy, I was 100% with Chelsea. I'm sure there is OM in a part of my heart, we'll see.” Focused on his project with the Blues, Olympique de Marseille is and will always remain a special club for Wesley Fofana. Will he one day wear the colors of the Marseille club?
