An attack powerless like the SCO, the defense thanks the MHSC

As after each day of the French Ligue 1 championship, our statistician Jacky looks back on the significant figures from this eighth stage of the elite which saw the Greens lose to Lens (0-2).

Today’s curiosities:

• RC Lens, undefeated in the Cauldron during its last four visits, is becoming a black beast for the Stéphanois. In total, no victory for ASSE in the last seven matches.
• One place lost, the good deal is for Auxerre, surprising winner of Reims, who wins two.
• During the last season spent in L1 (2020-21), after eight days, AS Saint-Étienne was ranked twentieth with three points on the clock.
• ASSE with 6 goals scored, is still the worst attack in Ligue 1, tied with that of Angers
• The defense avoids the red lantern thanks to that of Montpellier which lowered its flag twenty-six times, or six more than the green defense.
• Lens lined up a thirteenth trip with a goal scored.

They stood out:

• The Saint-Etienne midfielder was completely absent in the first half.
• Petrot one of the few to have floated with Larsonneur who avoided a rout in the first half.
• Labeau-Lascary who folded the match on the only Lensois shot of the second half.
• The Lensois Kevin Dance imperial in defense.
• Olivier Dall’Oglio very unhappy with the attitude of certain spectators towards Abdelhamid.
• Miladinovic remained on the bench and who has still not played a single minute in Ligue 1.
• I’m Old whose absence due to a last-minute injury raises serious concerns.

Good or bad stats:

• Possession of course favorable to the “Blood and Gold”: 63%, after having been at 83% in the first quarter of an hour and at 71% before the break.
• Only one shot on target for the Greens, five for Lens.

This is the third largest attendance of all time, all competitions and all sports combined. Referee, discipline, fouls and cards:

• Third match of the Greens with Mr. Lissorgue at the whistle still no victory (one draw and two defeats), but he has nothing to do with it.
