After only six weeks on DAZN, Luigi Colange has decided to leave DAZN immediately. The reason had not been revealed, but now it is.
While two journalists from The Team, Virginie Sainsily and Alicia Dauby will join the Ligue 1 broadcaster as soon as the Championship resumes, the sports channel will have to compensate for the departure of one of its star commentators, Luigi Colange. During the summer, the journalist worked for different media, including RMC Sport, Téléfoot Prime Vidéo, joined the DAZN team at the launch of the channel, but we learned this week, ultimately our colleague decided to put away his affairs and to immediately leave the Ligue 1 broadcaster. Contacted by the sports daily, Luigi Colange spoke “a divergence of editorial point of view » which pushed him to quickly abandon his post on DAZN. DAZN did not give him the means to succeed
While DAZN subscribers believe that the editorial content around Ligue 1 matches is not up to the price of subscriptions, Luigi Colange also made the same observation. Even if the channel told the sports media that the journalist’s departure was due to the latter’s inability to stick with the DAZN spirit, Sacha Nokovitch and Etienne Moatti reveal that Luigi Collange quickly noticed that the technical resources put in place to cover Ligue 1 matches were notoriously too weak, and that the treatment reserved for him did not really live up to his expectations and what he was promised when he signed it.
