While he has still not paid the first payment due to Ligue 1 clubs since the end of August, beIN Sports sees distrust of elite teams skyrocket. After Lyon, Le Havre is attacking the Franco-Qatari chain.
OL and HAC try to put pressure on
This is a new episode in the emerging war between beIN Sports and Ligue 1 clubs. While the first payment from the broadcaster (24% of the 80 million euros for the season), scheduled for August 30, is still pending, OL has put the LFP on notice regarding of the contract signed with the Franco-Qatarian channel. Now, Le Havre has also taken action.
As revealed by The Team, Jean-Michel Roussierpresident of the HAC, informed the League that he would not authorize access to the stadium to the beIN Sports teams if the channel had not paid the amount to be paid and that it had to broadcast a match of his club at Stade Océane on a Saturday at 5 p.m. After the disputes with Ligue 2 supporters – still not completely resolved – since the start of the season, beIN Sports is increasing the tension with the players in Ligue 1.
