Victim of a horse riding accident in 2022, Sergio Rico came very close to losing his life. Supported throughout this ordeal by the capital club, he finally said goodbye to France this summer to take charge of Qatar. A departure to which he returned in an interview given to Parisian : “It is true that before all this, we had started to discuss an extension. Afterwards, obviously, everything was a little shaken up by events, which is understandable. Finally, we decided to find another path forward and move forward. My agents told me about this possibility in Qatar and we chose to go there“.
