On TV7, the journalist Laurent Brunspoke about several Girondins de players, starting with the England international Andy
Carroll
.

“He was under contract with and played four Ligue 2 matches this season. It was a gamble taken by Bruno Irles and his staff to line him up from the start. He was still very much in demand, particularly in aerial duels, also with some very interesting deviations. He also had a client facing him, it was a duel of giants. However, I’m not sure that the Monday before he expected to charge Andy Carroll (laughs). He is a player with temperament, a fighter too, even if he has perhaps calmed down a little. But he had a lot of setbacks in nightclubs and other places (laughs).”

He mentioned the Bordeaux captain, Cédric Yambéré.

“He also has experience. He was in the Faroe Islands, and his club was preparing for the European Cup. It’s incredible though… He came back to the club too, at 33 years old. It was his 60th
match with the Girondins. So, it was two National 2 matches, the others in Ligue 1, but also 13 selections with the Central African Republic. He’s an international who will bring all his experience and all his knowledge, both of the game and the club.”

The journalist then spoke about the players who were trained at the Girondins de Bordeaux training center, and who remained this season, starting with the midfielder or playmaker, Noah Ramon.

“Noah Ramon was coming back from injury. He is a twirling player, very lively, who has a very short hook and who is very incisive. It is an interesting offensive weapon for Bordeaux. He had muscle discomfort, and that’s why he didn’t take part in the match against the previous week. But it is an element that is very important in Bruno Irles’ system. The Bordeaux coach told us that this player profile was prepared to become a pro and play in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2”

Finally, he delivered a few words on Jean
Grillot
.

“He has been repositioned in midfield for two matches, and he is starting to find his feet there too”
