Former central defender of PSG from 2007 to 2015, Zoumana Camara then became assistant of the first team and had different coaches. In 2021, the latter took charge of the U19 team for three years, until this summer. “Papus” has decided to leave the capital club, and spoke about the reasons for this decision.
He was one of the few to survive the arrival of QSI at the head of the PSG. Arrived from ASSE in 2007, Zoumana Camara remained with the capital club until 2015. Author of 224 matches in Parisian colours, the central defender then began his reconversion as a coach.

Assistant to Laurent Blanc, Unai Emeryand of Thomas Tuchel, Zoumana Camara then took over the reins of the U19 team, which he coached for three years, before leaving the team for good. PSG this summer, looking for an opportunity as a head coach. With the Parisianthe player trained in Saint-Etienne returned to this departure: “I was sure of myself and I started off with confidence. I was lucky enough to progress to PSG as a player and then, thanks to the club and the president, to be able to be assistant for six years, then to coach the U19s which is the number two team”first confided Zoumana Camara.

“I am finishing this cycle because I have ambitions for something else”clearly admits the former central defender, who does not forget the emotion encountered at PSG. “It’s not a sudden end because everything happened very calmly. After all this time, I’m prepared to leave the Paris region.”.
