Mbappé dispute, PSG responds to the LFP

PSG gave its response to the LFP in the dispute opposing it to Kylian Mbappé on Friday.

Three months after his departure, Kylian Mbappé’s name continues to resonate on the Saint-Germain side. The club and the player are notably at the heart of a financial dispute that has already lasted for several weeks. Brought before the LFP legal committee a few days ago, the case turned against PSG, which finally responded to the verdict of the body this Friday.

PSG still refuses to pay Kylian Mbappé

After his controversial departure to Real Madrid this summer, Kylian Mbappé does not intend to give Paris Saint-Germain any gifts. The last few months of the French international in the French capital have been very tense with the management. In addition to a considerably reduced playing time, the Bondynois ended his Parisian adventure without receiving his last salaries as well as a loyalty bonus.

An amount that amounts to 55 million euros and is claimed by Kylian Mbappé who brought the case before the legal committee of the LFP. The former AS Monaco player even won his case before coming up against, once again, the indifference of PSG.

PSG appeals LFP decision

A few days ago, the LFP legal committee ordered Paris Saint-Germain to pay the 55 million owed to Kylian Mbappé. But the club made it known immediately that it did not intend to pay, considering in particular that it was within its rights. A decision confirmed this Friday by Le Monde, which revealed that PSG has appealed the LFP verdict.

“As a matter of principle, PSG has appealed the opinion of the LFP commission, despite its limited effect. Indeed, PSG’s position is much more than a solid legal position – it is also a question of good faith, honesty, maintaining values and respect for the Parisian institution and its supporters, which is more important than any player,” the Parisian club told the newspaper. This case is therefore far from over and should even continue before the industrial tribunal in the coming weeks.
