26 executives slam the door and speak of collusion with BBY

The news will undoubtedly weaken the ranks of Taxawu Senegal. Indeed, the political party has just suffered a wave of resignations with the departure of the former coordinator of executives, Made Codé Ndiaye as well as 25 other executives. In a press release signed by the resigning members and received, this August 28, by Dakaractu, the latter put forward the reasons for their departures.

“After having carried out a careful analysis of the national situation of the country, from the angle of the many present and future challenges to be met. We have decided to resign from Taxawu Senegal and from all our responsibilities within the Cellule des Cadre (CAPS) of this platform. “, we read in the document. The former collaborators of Khalifa Ababacar Sall denounce an agreement of rapprochement between Taxawu Senegal and the coalition of the former regime, Benno Bokk Yaakar.

“In view of the current context, we wish to inform national and international opinion of our refusal to adhere to the new orientations of the Taxawu Senegal platform which are materialized in particular by a tendency towards a rapprochement with one or more branches of the Benno Bokk Yaakar (BBY) coalition that we had nevertheless fought for 12 years,” wrote the 25 resigning members. Through the note, they therefore reaffirm their will and determination to favor consistency in the expression of their convictions and the practice of their principles and are projecting themselves into the establishment of a new political formation.

“We are aware of the role we have played since the creation of Yewwi Askan wi (in the local and legislative elections of 2022) to sow hope among the Senegalese that another Senegal was possible. We therefore have the collective responsibility to ensure that this hope is not disappointed and that this new alternation keeps its promises of a better Senegal. In this wake, we will very soon proceed to the launch of a new political party that will reflect our ideals and our values of Work, Equity and Solidarity.”, promised the former companions of Khalifa Ababacar Sall, whom they wanted to pay a vibrant tribute for his recognized leadership and his republican spirit.
