“The assembly must get to work, that is the most important thing” (Ayib Daffé)

The chairman of the Yewwi Askan Wi parliamentary group, Ayib Daffé, spoke to the press after the opening, this Thursday, September 5, 2024, of the third extraordinary session in accordance with presidential decree 2024-1880. On this other session, the Pastef MP sets the record straight.

“The president who has priority in setting the agenda has set the record straight since the National Assembly itself has pending projects that it has not had time to examine and adopt. These are the projects that President Diomaye submitted to us because they were adopted in the Council of Ministers by President Macky Sall. The Assembly must get to work, that is the most important thing,” he said.

Thus, four projects are included on the agenda for this work: the draft settlement law for the 2022 management; the draft law authorizing the President of the Republic to ratify the Niamey Convention on cross-border cooperation; the draft law relating to the National Human Rights Commission and the general policy statement of the Prime Minister.
