It was a very different mood for Daniele De Rossi after one point from two rounds. Enzo Le Fée was sidelined and Chris Smalling on the verge of a Saudi move, but they surprisingly dropped Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes for deadline day signing Alexis Saelemaekers and 19-year-old Niccolò Pisilli.
