Dylan’s Afternoon Forecast

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Rain chances have backed off some heading into the afternoon, but we could see some scattered showers and a few isolated storms south of I-16 late this afternoon heading into the evening hours.

If you have any outdoor plans tonight. Be sure to grab some rain gear. Scattered showers and isolated storms continue to be a threat this weekend.

It won’t be a complete washout, but having a backup idea for outdoor plans wouldn’t be a bad idea. Increased cloud cover will assist in keeping afternoon highs in the lower 80s this weekend.

There is a chance for a weak area of low pressure to form off the coast on Sunday. As of now, it looks like it would move to our north over the Carolinas.

We’ll hold a rain chance into Monday, but this is dependent on the placement of the weak low we are watching this weekend. Afternoon highs will remain a few degrees below average, topping out in the low 80s on Monday.

Slightly cooler temperatures will return on Tuesday with morning lows dipping back into the upper 60s for Savannah. Then, we should slowly begin to dry out and warm up throughout the 2nd half of next week.
