OM, De Zerbi highlights the points for improvement

Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi found fault with the outcome of his team’s victorious match in Toulouse.

Marseille won their second victory of the season in Ligue 1 this Saturday. Facing Toulouse, and by controlling a good part of the debate, the Marseille team won 3 to 1.

De Zerbi insists on the mentality

Naturally, the result delighted Roberto De Zerbi, the coach of this team. But, the latter was not totally satisfied at the final whistle. He would have liked, for example, to ensure a clean sheet. “We have to improve the speed and mentality of this team. We could have not conceded the third goal. That’s how it is at OM.”he said on DAZN.

The Italian technician nevertheless acknowledged afterwards that he was generally quite happy with his flock. “We had a good 1e half-time, with a lot of potential chances and we scored 2 goals. We could have done more. And the superiority worked to our advantage and it was good to have that strength one on one, with Greenwood.”

“We’re not going to stop there”

Asked about Greenwood, who scored another double, De Zerbi praised him, but without forgetting the rest of the team:
“I am happy with all my players. We worked a lot with Pablo Longoria and Mehdi Benatia. The players must feel their responsibilities. We must have a great season.”

Marseille brought in 10 new players during the off-season. Given these many changes, their current profitability may come as a surprise. De Zerbi, however, is not at all surprised: “When the players are good, everything is easier. We have 7 points. We have changed a lot of things, but we are not going to stop.”
