SENEGAL-INSTITUTION-REACTION / Innocence Ntap Ndiaye magnifies the work carried out by the High Council for Social Dialogue – Senegalese Press Agency

Saly, Oct 4 (APS) – The outgoing president of the High Council for Social Dialogue (HCDS), Innocence Ntap Ndiaye, said Thursday she was satisfied with the work accomplished by this institution under her leadership, before expressing the wish to see her successor continue in this perspective.

“I would like to take this opportunity to magnify the work that has been done so far by the High Council for Social Dialogue. We tried to carry the torch high. We will pass it and we hope that it will continue,” she said.

Innocence Ntap Ndiaye chaired the closing workshop of the 34th plenary assembly of the High Council for Social Dialogue, opened Tuesday in Saly, Mbour.

The former trade unionist, appointed Wednesday in the Council of Ministers, will succeed him at the head of this institution responsible for promoting social dialogue in all sectors of activity, public, parapublic and private, including even in sectors relevant to of the informal economy.

“I took the reins of this institution in February 2015, that’s nine years of commitment to working to promote social dialogue at the national and international levels,” recalled Innocence Ntap Ndiaye.

Saying activist of social dialogue by her trajectory, the one who currently occupies the presidency of the French-speaking International of Social Dialogue, an organization bringing together 25 countries around the world, has continue its commitment in this area.

“I remain at the disposal of the State of Senegal but also of Africa,” she assured, while thanking the former President of the Republic, Macky Sall, who made him head of this institution, as well as the new Senegalese authorities.

She urged stakeholders to “continue to appease the sector”.

Innocence Ntap Ndiaye was Minister of the Civil Service, Labor, Employment and Professional Organizations in 2007, then Minister of State in charge of Labor and Professional Organizations.

She also held the positions of Minister of State to the President of the Republic, President of the Steering Committee of the Universal Telecommunications Service Development Fund before being appointed in 2015 to head the High Council for Social Dialogue.
