The series of nominations continues. President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has yet to make changes at the head of a number of public structures in different sectors. From the Presidency to sectoral ministries, including the Prime Minister’s Office. For the latter for example, “Moustapha Djitté, magistrate, pay number n°602 388/E is appointed Director General of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (Arcop), replacing Saër Niang”.
As a reminder, Mr. Niang served more than three terms at the head of this regulatory body, before it was reformed into Arcop. His longevity at the head of the organ had also been the subject of controversy. “They say that the Director General does not want to leave.
As soon as a successor is named, there is no problem at my level, the next day, I will leave. I am not a careerist and I am not someone who is looking for a job. I have enough expertise to be my own employer,” he defended himself, on the sidelines of the publication ceremony of the institution’s 2016 report.
Under the presidency of the Republic, “Mamadou Oumar Ndiaye, journalist, is appointed president of the National Audiovisual Regulatory Council”.
