Cristiano Ronaldo leads Al Nassr to 2-1 victory over Al Rayyan in AFC Champions League

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a decisive goal as Al Nassr secured a 2-1 win against Al Rayyan in the AFC Champions League group stage on Monday.

The victory marked a key moment for the Saudi club, which is pursuing its first Asian title.

Ronaldo, who missed Al Nassr’s opening 1-1 draw against Al-Shorta of Iraq due to a viral infection, made a strong return.

After having an earlier goal disallowed for offside, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner found the back of the net with a powerful strike into the top corner with 14 minutes remaining in the match.

Sadio Mané, the former Liverpool forward, opened the scoring for Al Nassr just before halftime with a well-placed header.

Despite a late goal from Al Rayyan’s Roger Guedes three minutes from the end, Al Nassr held on to secure the victory.
