SCO-SDR (1-3): A great collective performance!

Opposed to for the sixth day of Ligue 1 McDonald’s, our Rémois delivered a great performance to win on the pitch of the Stade Raymond Kopa, thus climbing to fourth place in the championship:

From the first minutes of play, it was Stade de who ignited the match with a goal from Keito Nakamura (0-1, 9th)! After a superb opening from Cédric Kipré, the Japanese striker faced the opposing goalkeeper and only had to adjust his shot to open the scoring. The locals reacted immediately and had a big chance, cut off by an excellent defensive return from Aurélio Buta. Well in place, the Rouge et Blanc continued their offensives, like this attempt by Junya Ito which brushed past the opposing post (12th), then this strike from Marshall Munetsi which passed over (15th). It’s ultimately Junya Ito who widens the gap! After good work from Oumar Diakité, the Japanese striker, a surface fox, doubles the lead for the SDR (0-2, 25th)! Dominated, the Angevins tried to reduce the gap in vain, as evidenced by this offensive by Jean-Eudes Aholou, stopped by a good exit from Yehvann Diouf (38th). As half-time approaches, Luka Elsner’s men take advantage of a good counterattack to offer themselves one last opportunity: Keito Nakamura shifts for Marshall Munetsi, who appears in front of the opponent’s cage, but stumbles on the Angevin goalkeeper.

Returning from the locker room, the visitors look to make a break and invade the opponent’s half of the field. Keito Nakamura tries his luck, but his curling shot goes over the frame (58th)! The Rémois continue their offensives, but neither Yaya Fofana, slightly too short to take a cross from Junya Ito (70th), nor Teddy Teuma, whose shot is repelled by the Angevin goalkeeper (76th), manage to make the defense give in. The efforts ended up paying off for the Rouge et Blanc, who were finally rewarded: Mamadou Diakhon fired a shot that was repelled by the opposing goalkeeper, but Marshall Munetsi followed well and pushed the ball into the back of the net (0-3, 79th). However, the game is not over for the locals, who increase their attacks and end up deceiving Yehvann Diouf thanks to a strike from Zinedine Ferhat which hits the target (1-3, 84th). Alexandre Dujeux’s men push harder than ever in the final minutes, but that will not be enough to make the Rémois give in, who win this afternoon on the pitch at the Stade Raymond Kopa!
