The Togolese Hawks unexpectedly drew this Monday against Equatorial Guinea at home in Malabo. A score of 2 goals each marked the end of the match between the two teams that are in Group E of the CAN 2025 qualifiers.
At the end of the match, the coach Nibombé Daré in charge of the Eperviers du Togo spoke about this result of the draw obtained away
“It’s a somewhat satisfactory result when you look at the context of this match. We already knew that coming to Equatorial Guinea it wasn’t going to be easy, they did some great things at the last CAN. We prepared during the week to come and get a result here so I think we can be satisfied with this point even if after the match we have the feeling that we can do better.”
Togo, after playing the first and second days, drew 2 matches against Liberia and then against Equatorial Guinea. A draw especially away which also satisfied the captain of the Hawks, Djene Dakonam who also spoke at the end of the match
