“Buffon’s presence is fundamental for this team”

Author of Italy’s second goal against Israel this evening, Moise Kean spoke to Rai about the Nazionale’s victory: “I came back to give the team a helping hand, I always made myself available even if it was complicated last year because of injuries, but it was important to be ready. The pitch will speak for me, I started well at Fiorentina, I was well received, the coach is counting on me, the coach Spalletti too. He gave me another opportunity to prove myself, it was important to honour his trust. Against France, I wanted to have a big impact on the match, we were leading, we had to keep the ball and hold our ground physically against the opposing defenders.

Kean also spoke about Gigi Buffon who leads the Nazionale: “Buffon’s presence is fundamental for this team, we always listen to the advice of a champion like him, and then, he has known me since I started with Juve.”
