With just a few hours to go until the start of the CAN 2025 qualifiers, the Lions of Teranga are at full strength and ready to fight. Aliou Cissé, Senegal coach, now has all of his players ready to face Burkina Faso tomorrow, Friday, at 7 p.m. at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio.

The 26-man squad has gradually come together, with a first training session on Monday, where only 12 Lions were present. The entire squad returned to the Den in the evening. With little time to fine-tune preparation before the clash against the Stallions, Aliou Cissé and his staff have opted for training behind closed doors, in order to preserve concentration and privacy. These sessions allow them to focus on the final adjustments before Friday’s confrontation, as well as the second match against Burundi, scheduled for September 9 in Malawi.

A final test run is scheduled for this afternoon, still behind closed doors, before the team briefly exposes itself to the media on Thursday. This last contact with the press will mark the end of the public preparation, before the Lions discreetly fold their game to refine the last details of their strategy.
