Empty promises, it goes without saying.
In October 2023, Philippe Diallo announced it as a revolution: journeys of less than three hours for the French team would now be made by train, for ecological reasons. Bingo! A year later, the simple Paris-Brussels journey, which takes barely 1h30 by rail from Paris, was made by… plane, this Sunday morning. For now, the Blues took the TGV only oncefor the match against Luxembourg in June (3-0), in Metz.
The train remains an objective for the FFF
Asked about this by The Teamthe Fed defends itself by specifying that the proposed train to reach the Plat Pays was too early. The argument of lack of security was also put forward by the players’ entourage, while Didier Deschamps and his staff had not really appreciated the experience, in particular for reasons of recovery and organization of the schedule. The president of the FFF assures us, however, “Train travel remains an objective”.
