OM are on the move this Saturday evening to challenge Téfécé for the third day of Ligue 1.

For its third outing of the season in Ligue 1, Olympique de Marseille travels to the Stadium this evening of Saturday August 31, 2024 to challenge Toulouse (9 p.m.). But a few hours before the kickoff of this shock, the team’s coach, Roberto De Zerbi, has just made public the list of players called up.

Balerdi logically absent

After the great opening victory against Stade Brestois (1-5) in Ligue 1, the Marseille club was held by Stade de Reims (2-2) on the second day at the Stade Orange Vélodrome. After this draw, Marseille travels to Toulouse to try to secure its second victory of the season in the championship.

Injured in the thigh, Leonardo Balerdi, who will not play with the Argentina team for the September break, is already out of the trip to the Stadium, this evening. In the group selected by Roberto De Zerbi, the Argentinian defender is left out for this third clash of the season in the championship.

Maupay already ready to start?

Among the absentees, we can also mention Chancel Mbemba and Jordan Veretout who are still in the loft. Pushed towards the exit, the latter did not leave the club this summer. Unwanted, Ulisses Garcia is also absent from this list of the transalpine coach.

But that won’t be the case for Olympique de Marseille’s latest summer signing, Neal Maupay. Recruited only this Friday, the French centre-forward is in the squad called up by the former Brighton coach to go for the win in Toulouse. The Frenchman will be a real competitor for his compatriot Elye Wahi, who has yet to convince.
