Inter having fun and Inzaghi invents again: message to rivals

Atalanta crushed at San Siro, but yesterday’s 4-0 is different from the one in February. And Lautaro Martinez is still “missing”…

While the final hours of the transfer market were moving forward, inexorably, waiting for the final gong and many teams were still aspiring – and are aspiring, let’s not forget the free agents – to make one last move, the “old” Inter (in the sense that only Taremi played among the new players, for barely ten minutes) did what he wanted against Atalanta, sending a very clear signal to the championship and its rivals. The clear result, like the one in February last championship, is impressive but perhaps even more impressive is how it arrived because more than a few people had turned up their noses after the draw in the debut against Genoa and the “only” 2-0 victory against Lecce last week.

It is worth remembering that Atalanta were in an emergency, especially in defense, but Inter made the game easier in the first minutes of the match, with a desire and an aggressiveness which immediately ruined Gasperini’s plan, reducing the excuse of absences for the Bergamo players who, if anything, can appeal to the adversary’s flooding in the impossibility of making too many rotations and in the normal time that the new players will need to integrate into the system.

The Inter orchestra does not seem to have lost that hunger that Inzaghi has been asking for, incessantly, since day one because he knows that a full belly with the two stars is the biggest danger that can enter the Inter group, in a year that promises to be difficult because they want to still fight for the Scudetto but making a better path in the Champions League than last time without forgetting that many rivals, Juve above all, have greatly strengthened.

Not that Inter has been standing still on the market but has preferred the value of ideas to that of purchases to add something, and in this sense we have noticed even more ability to give few points of reference for the opponentsespecially if you played like Atalanta: Dimarco which does not limit itself to wandering towards the other band but often moves centrally becoming almost attacking midfielderPavard “in the Lucio version of the Triplete” with sudden runs to increase the presence in the attacking midfield and the usual ability of the two forwards to find, in turn, depth and defense of the ball to bring their teammates up. All this, with the usual intelligence of the three midfielders to cover the defensive line in case of even exaggerated advances (see a couple of sprints by Acerbi up to Carnesecchi).

When Inter plays like this, and he’s having fun like thisit’s tough for everyone: also because we must consider that he produced a poker against Atalanta with a Lautaro Martinez at 30-40%rivals have been warned.
