The Red Devils overcame Israel on Friday in a two-sided match. In the second half, they dominated their opponent.

Belgium did not particularly shine against Israel this Friday, especially during a frankly awkward first half. Yuri Tielemanswho scored in the second half, easily acknowledges this.

“We saw a two-faced Belgium. In the first half, there were too many technical errors,” the Aston Villa midfielder regretted on RTBF after the match.

“Their block was low, so it was difficult to create chances, but we tried too little,” he conceded. “We conceded an avoidable goal, but in the second half, we came back well on the pitch and scored two quick goals.”

The Devils took their opponent by the throat as soon as they returned from the locker room. “There was really a difference in attitude in the second half, we put in intensity and pressure,” rejoices Tielemans.

Now, they will have to confirm against France, who suffered a heavy defeat at home against Italy. “But France remains France, they are a great team. We were unlucky against them this summer, we will give everything to get a good result but the most important thing is to focus on ourselves and play a good match.”
