The RN “will judge its general policy discourse on its merits” before considering censorship

The president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardella, stated this Thursday, September 5, that the RN will “judge on the evidence” the general policy speech of Michel Barnier, who has just been appointed Prime Minister.

“After an interminable wait, unworthy of a great democracy, we take note of the appointment of Michel Barnier as Prime Minister of Emmanuel Macron,” declared the MEP on X.

The RN “will judge its general policy discourse, its budgetary decisions and its action on the facts” and reserves “all political means of action”, while the risk of a motion of censure hangs over Michel Barnier, in the absence of a clear majority in the National Assembly.

“We will be attentive to the project that he will carry, and attentive to ensuring that the aspirations of our voters, who represent a third of the French, are heard and respected,” also said the head of the RN deputies, Marine Le Pen.

This Thursday, on RMC-BFMTV, the party’s vice-president, Sébastien Chenu, detailed the conditions under which RN deputies would not immediately censure a Prime Minister.

They are asking for a Prime Minister who is ready to “open the proportional representation file”, who “tackles the issues of immigration, security, purchasing power of the French” and who “respects the National Rally as the leading political force”, declared Sébastien Chenu.
