LThe endless waiting for parents. Students in tears. Grieving families. And nothing changes. A shooting left at least 4 dead and 9 injured in an American high school in the state of Georgia on Wednesday, September 4, according to an official provisional report from local authorities. A new tragedy described as a “terrible tragedy” by the Department of Justice while Joe Biden “mourns these lives taken too soon by the senseless violence of firearms”. “We must end this epidemic of gun violence in our country, once and for all. There is no reason to suffer this,” added Kamala Harris, campaigning in New Hampshire.

A young gunman opened fire at Apalachee High School in Winder, 43 miles northeast of Atlanta, around 9:30 a.m. local time. After a lockdown, students were evacuated to the football field by police, who secured the building room by room. The suspect was arrested alive, police in this southern US state said. According to CNN, he is a 14-year-old boy, information that has not yet been confirmed by authorities at this time.
