How is your arrival in Vannes?
It's already been two weeks since my wife and I arrived in Vannes, even a little more than two weeks, so acclimatization happened very quickly and easily. We were thrown straight into the deep end and so far things are going really well. And then we didn't arrive in an unknown land. I must admit that it feels good to start with a new dynamic, to see new faces, to experience a new atmosphere, everything is different.
When we look at your performances, your career, your physique, we say to ourselves that there is not much missing… Are you aware of that?
Oh yes, I am aware of that. What is missing? I still don't know. So far there hasn't been that spark.
Did coaches not trust you?
-That's exactly it, that's it. But I don't want to go into too much detail… In fact, I experienced the shortcomings of professional sportsmanship, which can slow down careers, in fact. For me, there were certainly the injuries and therefore the lack of confidence that the coaches showed in me. It is very often these two points which mean that an athlete can be put aside, not highlighted. It made, as far as I was concerned, a cocktail that didn’t work. While I was in great shape. That's how it is.
Do you have a dual project, something besides Rugby?
Today no. My job is rugby, I'm betting everything on that for the moment. And then we just had a daughter… I don't have time to do anything else right now. My wife also works for her part. We found our balance like that.
