At the time of our rear, Nans Ducuinglooked back on the numerous injuries he suffered during his career, he who was not spared at this level:

“I have not been spared from injuries during my career and I have had to fight against my body. This is the dark side of the rugby player. When everything is going well, you're playing in front of thousands of people and you're in the spotlight, it's great. But when you're injured, those moments, clearly, it's hateful. You do everything except rugby: cardio, wattbike, boxing… you suck, you're out of sync with others and you can quickly become depressed. Fortunately for me, I always liked doing things besides rugby and that’s a bit what saved me.”

At the twilight of his career, he would like to succeed in getting back to his best level, so that he is also remembered as a good player and not just as a joker:

“I don't want people to only remember the gay guy from rugby. I like to remind them that I can also be a good little player and that I can contribute to the team. This is what I'm fighting for. I don't want anyone to say that I'm being kept because I act stupid and make my teammates laugh.”
