Nevers is currently going through a complicated season. Fighting at the bottom of the rankings when you are used to fighting for the top 6 changes a lot of things. Lately, things are going a little better for Nevers who are regaining confidence but who will face a complicated trip to Brive.
With just a few seconds, Nevers could have played in the final phase last season. Ultimately, it was Brive who obtained this last ticket. While we expect, like every year, Nevers to fight for the top 6, the start of the season is far from expectations. The results are not there and it is a completely different struggle that will be on the menu for the Neversois this season: maintaining. After several failures at home, Nevers turned around in December by winning twice. The year 2025 started well with a clear and flawless victory. There is still a long way to go to join the fight for the top 6. You must already secure your place in Pro D2 for next season. If Nevers has been successful since last season against Brive (3 victories in as many matches), this trip promises to be complicated especially after seeing Brive lose at Dax and therefore having to win at home to maintain its 2nd place.
For this trip, Nevers is deprived of Manu, Walisoliso, Sénéca, Kaikatsishvili, Kundiona, Barjaud, Toleafoa, Loaloa.
Here is the starting XV from Nevers for the trip to Brive:
