Standing at 1.78 meters tall and weighing 87 kg, Yvan David is a fast but also powerful 9, adept at fighting. For US Carcassonne, his recruitment responds to the desire to compensate for the absence of Tomás Munilla who will be away from the pitch for several more weeks.
A pure product of the Aindinois training, Yvan David did all his classes in Oyonnax. He made his debut in Pro D2 at just 20 years old during the 22-23 season during which he played 13 matches including 2 starts. With the rise of the Oyonnaxiens in the Top 14, Yvan David must face increased competition in his position and is content with an appearance with the pros in the Challenge Cup. But everything changed during the first part of the 24-25 Pro D2 season where he accumulated more than 350 minutes of play for 12 match sheets in 13 days including 4 starts. Following the recruitment of a new number 9 of international stature by the Aindinois club, Yvan David joins Carcassonne “with the ambition to continue a season rich in playing time and to continue its progress in “yellow and black”.”
“I arrive full of motivation and ambition. I hope, very modestly, to bring back the experience I have from Pro D2… In any case I am very motivated, I will try to gain the respect of all my colleagues… Very excited to get started!”, he reacts on the US Carcassonne website.
