Transfer / Top 14 – formalizes the arrival of Sama Malolo

The Catalan club announced on its social networks that Samoan international hooker Sama Malolo has signed with Usap. The Moana Pasifika Super player has signed a two-year contract.

An atypical journey

Born in the suburbs of Aukland in New Zealand, Sama Malolo then left to study in Australia. Spotted by the Western Force, the heel was recruited by the Perth-based franchise's youth teams. An under-20 international with the Wallabies, the Samoan made his professional debut with the Melbourne Rebels. But not retained by the club, the future Catalan will begin a world tour between Australia, Japan and the United States. In 2022, after his move to the Utah Warriors, the hooker put his rugby career on hold to become a sign installer.
