UBB transfers: Matthieu Jalibert, imminent outcome

RUGBY TRANSFERS – According to Midi Olympique, Matthieu Jalibert’s contract extension at UBB is imminent. The 25-year-old opener will therefore remain loyal to the Gironde club.

According to our colleagues from Midi Olympique, the native of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Laurent Marti have reached an agreement in recent days. As a reminder, in recent weeks, the player had somewhat left doubt.

Jalibert, formalization expected in the coming days

Indeed, at the end of September, questioned at a press conference after the large victory of theUnion Bordeaux-Bègles face au Racing 92, Matthew Jalibert kicked into touch. “For the moment, we no longer really discuss, but I repeat that I know how lucky I am to play for this club, in front of this audience. I realize this every time, but other things come into play too. […] We discussed a lot with Laurent (Marti) but for the moment, we have not reached an agreement”he then indicated.

Things have accelerated in recent hours. The extension could be made official in the coming days. Trained at the club (arrived in Gironde in 2007), Matthew Jalibert made his professional debut with UBB in 2017.
