Rugby – National: running out of scrum half, recruits a former player

With two scrum halves in the infirmary and another highly uncertain for the reception at Marcq-en-Barœul on Saturday evening (7 p.m.), Racing Club Narbonnais has just recruited a new player for this position.

Pierrick Nova absent for several more weeks due to his adductor pubalgia, Pablo Barbaste out for an indefinite period due to a dislocated shoulder, and James Hart injured in the neck on Friday evening in Chambéry, this is the position of halfback dry scrum on the side of the Racing Club Narbonnais. The Aude staff did not procrastinate for long and decided to recruit a new player to remedy this absence.

As announced in our Tuesday edition, Erwan Nicolas (1.72 m, 80 kg) agreed to join Racing. After leaving before the end of last season and one year from the end of his contract, the 29-year-old took charge of Australia and the Warringah franchise. It is an element accustomed to the Pro D2 which arrives on the banks of the Robine with 126 matches played in three different clubs between Soyaux-Angoulême (2017-2020), (2020-2022) and Vannes (2022-2024).

Erwan Nicolas has already started to make his mark in the squad and has been training since Monday. He could be on deck Saturday evening for the reception in Marcq-en-Barœul.
