TRANSFER. TOP 14. An advantageous exchange of hookers between Clermont and on the horizon?

At the end of his contract at the end of the season, Australian hooker Folau Fainga’a will probably not be retained by the Auvergne club. But its future is not so uncertain. And he could even still make it into the Top 14.

According to The MountainFainga’a’s CV is actively circulating among several French clubs. Among them, the Union -Bègles seems to be very interested in the Australian international.

UBB, looking for reinforcements to win titles in the near future and particularly a shield from Brennus, could be Fainga’a’s next destination.

But on the Clermont side, we are not sitting idly by. The Jaunards would, according to Actu.frset their sights on another hooker, this time from Bordeaux: Romain Latterrade.

The 28-year-old player is under contract with UBB but could well be seduced by an offer from Auvergne. Hired until the end of the current season. It has not yet been extended.

The question therefore arises: is an exchange possible between the two clubs? If nothing has yet been signed, the mutual interest seems very real. Negotiations could accelerate in the coming weeks. So Fainga’a in Bordeaux and Latterrade in Clermont?

Passed by the Stade Montois, the latter was more often confined to the role of finisher. Could he have more responsibilities at UBB? Nothing is less certain since Maxime Lamothe is under contract until 2028. Other Top 14 teams could also be interested.
