One month before the opening of the 20th season of the Catalans Dragons Super League in , the club is working behind the scenes to prepare for the new exercise around a new jersey partner and a squad, which will be officially unveiled on Wednesday next year, on the occasion of the season launch evening at the Palais des Congrès in Perpignan.

So are the Catalan Dragons. As professional and even amateur sports begin the return phase, they are preparing their season. A very particular temporality for commercial director Christophe Levy and his teams. “We were pleasantly surprised by the store’s revenue in December,” explains Levy, who admits that “the club has never sold so many jerseys in 20 years, the first 500 are gone. We are out of stock, we have ordered some, but the delivery and manufacturing times are long.”

The “home” and “Cup” jerseys are therefore no longer available in stores, pending the evening of this Wednesday, January 22. “It’s the most beautiful pre-season evening in the entire Super League that we offer”is not afraid to put forward Christophe Levy who will take advantage of the event, to “unveil the new home jersey partner who will replace Zodiak. We will reveal the numbers of the 2025 squad and I hope, the broadcaster”.

The Live Team should, as in 2024, offer the 27 broadcasts of the Catalan Dragons on the Team's digital platform (website and application), just like TV3 which will broadcast on its platform in Spain, all the matches of the blood and gold in 2025. Without forgetting, Super League + which offers by subscription, all the matches live, or delayed, and which sees the Dragons club, being the “second in number of subscribers in the entire Super League”. In terms of subscription, the Catalan Dragons hope to reach the important figure of 4,500 subscribers for 2025. The objective is not yet set for the club, which is counting on its season launch evening and this last month, to add the thousand subscribers missing.

Approaching 5 million excluding tax from private partnerships

Finally, Christophe Levy, and this is the crux of the matter, is working to close the position of private partners. “We have renewed 80% of our customers, we have a new official partner and we have one month left to reach the objective, that is to say, 5 million euros excluding tax from private partnerships”or 6 million including tax, including 1 million VAT paid to the state.

The requirement to complete the private partnerships item is a priority this season for a club which will have to pay for the fourteen trips of English opponents and officials (550,000 euros), in a difficult situation, where communities turn off the taps. “By the end of February, we are obliged to look for new companies to have a suitable season”, supports the president Bernard Guasch who keeps “good hope. It is our responsibility, we leaders, to find the million euros that are missing today”.

Indeed, non-participation in the final in 2024 represents a shortfall of 600,000 euros between bonuses and receipts in the event of a semi-final in Perpignan. Before the players enter the arena, managers and salespeople hope to consolidate the budget (14 to 15 million euros) and finally receive white smoke from the communities for the construction of the new stand.
