RUGBY: Cohesion course for COCB U14s

The young people lived together for two days and one night… and without a cell phone.

It’s certain, they will keep beautiful memories and have many things to tell!
Eighteen young rugby players, boys and girls from the COCB U14 team spent January 2 and 3 together. They played together, worked together, ate together, slept at the club… A real bonding experience, a bit like the grown-ups. The idea was that these kids would not spend the holidays without seeing each other and, through these two days of living together, would further strengthen the bonds within the team. So that they could fully interact with each other and live without external solicitation, cell phones were prohibited.

Under the guidance of their educators Louis Bouillet, Laurent Quesada, Arthur Meulin, Bastian Monnerie and Xavier Pestourie, the young people participated in numerous fun or sporting activities: laser game, bowling, cardio, muscle awakening… and of course rugby, on the field but also indoors, with quizzes around the rules, because a good rugby player must know the rules of his sport well, and there are many of them.
The evening was punctuated by the screening of a film and games, musical chairs, werewolves…

As for the meals, which are an integral part of rugby folklore, they delighted the young trainees. If the first lunchtime was to keep in shape with spaghetti Bolognese, the evening raclette allowed everyone to warm up and recharge their batteries after an intense day. We will not talk about the stuffed capon and its accompaniment of duchess potatoes with cheese, nor the chocolate cake with its custard, which were served on the second day… So these are tired but delighted children that their parents have collected Friday evening.

Parents who, to properly end this course, were invited to collect their offspring around a buffet of charcuterie and cheese toasties, toasting the new year and the health of the team.
