One of the ASM Clermont Auvergne players is accused of having behaved violently with a waitress during an alcoholic evening, France Bleu Pays d'Auvergne reported Tuesday, November 12. A complaint has been filed, according to a source close to the matter to France Bleu.

The alleged facts date back to October 19. That day, rugby player Fritz Lee started the ASM-RC meeting, at the end of which the Auvergnats won. A few hours after the match, the third row – who was celebrating his 200th match in the Top 14 – participated with other club players in an alcoholic evening at the Ostrog, an establishment located in the city center of Clermont-Ferrand.

The 36-year-old is accused of having engaged in violent behavior with one of the waitresses there during the evening. A video attesting to these facts was recorded during the evening. Contacted, the manager refutes this information.

Contacted by France Bleu, the Auvergne club – which quickly became aware of the facts – explains in a press release that it deplores them because they “do not correspond in any way with the values ​​of the club“. A few days after the evening, the players spoke with the club staff to discuss the situation. The club specifies that it has sanctioned the player “administratively and financially” without giving further details. Note that Fritz Lee started the following weekend to face Stade Français in .
