On November 9 and 10, the Association organizes its finals in Rueil-Malmaison. A demonstration of know-how for this Blues supporters club which is also interested in the youth of amateur clubs.
Saturday and Sunday, in Rueil-Malmaison, will take place the national interleague finals organized by the Amicale du Tournoi des Six Nations. This association of supporters of the XV of France does not just want to follow the Blues matches. To establish its credibility, it strives to organize its own competitions, supported by the FFR, in order to promote Rugby for under-18s from the amateur world.
The South PACA, Brittany, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Grand Est and Loire" rel="tag">Pays de la Loire Leagues will try to win the trophy. For the first time, this tournament will also host regional women's selections.
Florian Grill will present the trophies
The qualifying phase took place on October 19 and 20, and the nine selections will play three competitions: women's under-18s, men's under-18s A and men's under-18s B. The women's under-18s tournament will bring together the South PACA, Brittany and New Aquitaine Leagues. The men's under-18 A competition will pit the South PACA, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Leagues against each other. The men's under-18 B tournament will see the Grand Est, Brittany and Pays de la Loire Leagues compete. It is important to understand that the Association is interested in young people who play in national and regional level clubs. She believes that those who are already in high-level sectors have enough opportunities to experience rewarding events. Please note that young academy referees from all over France will referee the matches.
Michel Dubreuil, president of the Amicale, explains: “For us, it's an exceptional weekend. We've been doing this since 2007, but this year, we're going from 150 to 280 young people since, firstly, we're hosting a women's tournament; but we're also organizing a parallel agricultural high school trophy with four teams from Brioude (Haute-Loire) et de Marmilhat (Puy-de-Dôme)also with teams of young girls. We will present them with the 'Generation Terre de XV' trophies with our partners, the Ministry of Agriculture, the FFR and Interbev. To supervise all this, there will be 70 of us friendly members.”
For several years, and it is its pride, the Association has wanted to reward the winners by taking them with it to attend a Tournament match. The winning league of Tournament A will therefore go to Dublin on March 8 to see Ireland-France. The winning league of Tournament B and the Women will be entitled to France-Wales on January 31. But none of the participants will leave an international match “virgin”, since the 280 participants will attend France-Japan before seeing the president of the FFR, Florian Grill, in person handing over the cups to Rueil-Malmaison.
